Stunning, pure cotton lace, woven as it was in the Victorian era, is one of the most underappreciated interior decoration items. The way it plays with sunlight is brilliant, especially the shadows it produces on the floor as a gentle breeze waves across the cloth.
The Lace Library includes two different qualities of lace: traditional lace, which is more open with a thicker yarn, and Madras lace, which is as fine as mosquito netting. The patterns range from traditional to contemporary, and include a number of whimsical child-inspired patterns like "Bee Madras" and "Whales Madras."
